NO prizes for the subject that has had the Adver's message boards and postbags groaning under its weight of correspondence this week.

The takeover at Swindon Town was always bound to be an issue that divided, infuriated, delighted or perplexed fans far and wide.

And so it's proved.

A quick glance at the thoughts posted, emailed and sent to Adver Towers reveals some are thrilled that the financial clouds hovering over the County Ground look set to be dispersed and believe the club are on the brink of a new era.

Many others though are suspicious of a takeover where many key players are still in the shadows and where many of the same faces who were at the helm in the first place are set for a return.

What is certain is that all supporters want - and frankly deserve - to know more.

More about ALL those who are now purportedly running matters at the club.

More about their hopes, plans and aims for taking Town into the future, whether that means at the County Ground or not.

More about the involvement of members of the outgoing' board in the new regime - and how they intend to avoid going back to the traumas of the past.

And more about the implications for Paul Sturrock's building of a team capable of challenging for promotion once again.

The arrival of American Jim Little has thrown another intriguing element into the mix and, as pointed out in the excellent article by my colleague Craig Lyus last week, he provided little of the detail fans desire.

As we did when this takeover was first mooted, the Advertiser will continue to push for answers to all of these questions.

Town now have an opportunity to rebuild bridges with sections of its fanbase, which have seemed close to breaking point in recent times.

But that process can only start, if there is as much transparency, honesty and communication as possible.

Without delay.

Town will be making an error of judgement if they believe anything less will suffice.
