LEE Peacock insists it is good to talk' and has urged his Town teammates to raise the decibel levels this afternoon as they look to banish their Vale Park blues.

The Town midfielder revealed a lack of communication has seen wires being crossed several times already this campaign but insists talking the talk' will make it easier to walk the walk'.

In-form Doncaster Rovers visit the County Ground today, with Town looking to bounce back from last weekend's defeat and Peacock believes the players need to start taking hold of their own destinies.

He said: "Communication was down and information was not there. It has been a hard week in training. We need to start seeing things for ourselves because the gaffer can't tell us all the time.

"We have to see things and move and adapt as the game is going on.

"We need to be flexible. There is only so much the coaching staff can see. There are times when things have been shouted on and people haven't passed this information on to others.

"So half of us are set up as a 4-3-3 and half are set up as a 4-4-2 and we have no idea what is going on."

In the last couple of league games Town boss Paul Sturrock has tried to change formation during the game but Peacock believes it is time the players started reacting to different situation themselves.

He said: "We have to be able to shuffle around the different systems that will be played against us and put people in different areas.

"So I think we have to take it on ourselves that at times you are going to play, not out of position, but not as a rigid 4-4-2.

"There will be times when a striker comes deep and the midfielder has to deal with him.

"Or maybe a midfielder sitting in which the striker has to deal. Communication has to be better as we have been quiet and it is something we are trying to work on."

While inquests were held on the back of Saturday's surprise defeat, Peacock insists the start to their League One return has been better than first expected.

He said: "We have done better than what was expected and to have gone from that we have set a standard and you don't like dropping below it.

"To drop below it you can accept but to drop so far below it on Saturday was unacceptable.

"There was no single person to blame, just as a team we were very poor.

"We had a double session Thursday, which is unheard of but obviously needed. There is no cause to panic."
