A 'CONDITIONAL agreement' for Andrew Fitton's consortium to take control of Swindon Town will be signed by midday today.

Jeremy Wray, Fitton's business partner, confirmed to the Swindon Advertiser this morning that the initial signing over of the club would take place in the next few hours.

He added that both parties were working hard on the small conditions that remained to see the deal through to completion.

Fitton's consortium would then be "at their desks by tomorrow'', ready to take Town into a new era after taking control of the club from the Wills family.

After completition, a new chief executive is expected to be installed quickly Fitton is currently on a family skiing holiday in Austria with his family, but is expected back for Town's clash against Hartlepool on Saturday.
