SIMON Cox is hoping his full wallet will compliment a full stomach on Saturday night, having taken three points off Walsall at the County Ground.

Town go head-to-head with the team who currently occupy the final League One play-off berth, and the striker is determined to be the man to fire his side to victory so he can dine out in style at the expense of a mate.

Cox, right, is close friends with Walsall skipper Michael Dobson from their time together at Reading, and while the defender has only just returned to full fitness following a knee injury, Town's hit man is determined for his pal to play, so that later on he can pay.

"Michael was their captain but he's not playing at the moment, so he's not very happy.

"But it would be good to be up against him if he plays," explained Cox.

"I saw him on Saturday when we went to watch a mate of ours play for Rushden & Diamonds.

"We just said that we'll take Saturday as it comes.

"If he plays obviously he won't have any hesitation in putting me into the stands, and if I put a few in the net he won't hold a grudge.

"If we win and I score he'll probably get about 100 phone calls off me.

"I think we're going out for a meal after - I'll make sure that the loser pays the bill, and if it's honours even then we'll have to split it."
