CHRISTIAN Roberts believes tonight's trip to Oldham could make or break Town's season as they bid to banish the memories of Saturday's Walsall nightmare.

Swindon's Welsh winger admits the impact of tonight's result on the rest of the campaign is a frightening prospect, with a nine-point gap between them and League One's top six.

Roberts, pictured right, is set for a recall up north, with Jon-Paul McGovern missing out with a groin strain, and he insists everyone is hungry to make amends for the weekend's 3-0 humiliation.

A bumper crowd is already being predicted for Saturday's home game with Leeds United but Roberts has warned everyone it is tonight at Boundary Park that matters.

He said: "Tonight's game is huge, it is massive.

"First and foremost we have to have a good attempt at that and definitely pick up something from the game before we even think about Leeds.

"To make anything happen on Saturday we have got to attack this game.

"It is so big, and so vital it is frightening. For us to take any positivity towards Saturday something has to happen and we have to instigate it.

"It is about standing up and being strong.

"We take the pats on the back when we have had a good result but now it is about being brave and about 16 players standing up.

"It is so big, it will probably make or break our season. It is that big.

"I think because of the manner of Saturday's defeat, the best thing that can happen is a game straight away.

"We have a chance to put things right."
