MASSIMO Luongo admitted he was preparing himself to take a penalty in a shoot-out when Nicky Ajose scored the goal which helped Swindon Town beat Wycombe Wanderers last night.
Ajose netted in the fourth minute of added time to send Swindon into the southern section area semi-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, avoiding the lottery of spot-kicks in the process.
Luongo said: "I thought something was coming but in the back of my mind I was thinking about a penalty shootout. I was already thinking what position I'd be taking it.
"I thought with a little bit of luck we could get there, we got there in the end and we deserved it."
