SWINDON’S fans are being urged to turn out in force tonight at the County Ground, with manager Danny Wilson believing a packed house can “make a big difference” for his side.

Two of League One’s In-form sides clash this evening as Huddersfield come to town, and the club’s chiefs have slashed tickets prices for the match in order to get a bumper crowd through the gate.

Wilson is hoping for another enjoyable night under the floodlights at SN1, and is confident that a good backing could spur them on to three more points.

“The fans can make a big difference for us,” he said. “The last really big night game we had was against Southampton, and that was a fantastic atmosphere. So if we can replicate that it will be absolutely wonderful.

“We want to get a bumper crowd if we can and put a real show on for them.

“There’s a lot to look forward to - it’s two good teams going head-to-head and could be a cracker.”

Town go into the game on the back of consecutive league wins, against Tranmere and Carlisle, and Wilson has set his sights on closing the gap in between his side and the Terriers.

He explained: “When you get a win away from home and come back to a home game you always get a feel-good factor.

“So taking that into account we should have a better atmosphere.

“If we can win the game it puts us within two points of Huddersfield with a game in hand on them. That in itself says that we have a right to be challenging up there.

“There’s a lot riding on the game, and we want to win it simply because it keeps us in touch with them.”
