A CARTOON has helped the Nationwide Building Society achieve recognition from the International Visual Communication Association for its promotion of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
The Swindon-based society was presented with three gold awards; best animation; best internal communication and overall winner for the production of its animation film Valuing Everyone.
Charles Reed, Nationwide's director of customer service & communication said: "Nationwide Television and the production company, Happy Hour, have done a fantastic job putting this together.
"We chose to go down the animation route as a non-confrontational way of prompting and provoking discussion on diversity within our workforce.
"Cartoon animals and the voices of Nationwide staff were used in the making of the film. This is one of a series of internal videos we have produced around diversity and inclusion and is by far the most ambitious in terms of creativity."
The International Visual Communication Association is a leading European professional body which promotes best practice for the corporate and public sector communications industry.
