Swindon Guide Dogs for the Blind would like to thank Robert Buckland MP and Justin Tomlinson MP for their help and support in the House of Commons regarding the new laws on microchipping, and the very recent law that protects guide dogs from attack by other dogs.
Swindon Advertiser readers are aware of the attacks on guide dogs in Swindon and these laws will help us to get dog owners taking responsibility for their dogs.
With the implementation of these laws it will help vulnerable people with a guide dog being able to maintain their mobility, freedom, independence and confidence of going out with a working dog.
Thank you both again for your help and support.
Alan Fletcher, Chairman Swindon Guide Dogs for the Blind
