Moved by heroes
I AM sure I am not alone in being utterly moved by the D-Day anniversary celebrations (is that the right word?) on Friday.
The modest way these veterans tell their stories is truly humbling.
We will never see their like again – and let us hope and pray we never need to.
And I would just like to add that I very much enjoyed the Adver’s D-Day special section – a fitting tribute to some true heroes.
May we, all of us, remember them always.
