THERE is no doubt the police have their work cut out. With an ever decreasing budget due to cuts, they still have to deal with muggings, burglaries, violent crimes and con artists. We all know they have a difficult job to do and they are stretched.
I was therefore very surprised to hear about a case of some corporate executive in the town who felt the need to call the police over a blogger that had referred to him using a mildly offensive word.
As I understand, the posting had been on line less than 24 hours, before the blogger decided themselves that it was not appropriate and had removed it voluntarily.
During the time it was on line it had been viewed by a single viewer. I cannot help thinking the vanity of some people know no bounds.
