QUITE why Victoria Grieve isn’t behind bars is beyond us.

This relentlessly dishonest criminal has yet again been let loose on the community to which she has brought mayhem and misery.

Last October she got away with a suspended sentence after a catalogue of 50 frauds whose victims ranged from workmates to her own father.

In February she was in court again, when it emerged that she had been engaged in another fraud at around the time of her previous appearance. On that occasion she parasitised her grandmother.

The February hearing included an assurance being given to Judge Tim Mousley QC that all offending had been accounted for, and the judge warned Grieve that there would be no more mercy.

Fortunately for Grieve, the judge’s version of the Last Chance Saloon comes with a revolving door, so when it emerged that she had fraudulently tried to buy a car and other goods she had nothing to fear.

The car, it is worth mentioning, would have been paid for using card details belonging to a fellow user of a residential facility, had it not been for the salesman’s vigilance.

Grieve has skipped free from court yet again, with nothing more inconvenient than some extra community service.

There is absolutely nothing to prevent Grieve from offending once more. We invite readers to study her photograph and modi operandi, so as to protect themselves - as the law clearly cannot or will not.

It is no wonder that an increasing number of horrified law-abiding people feel our criminal justice system couldn’t be more of a joke shop if it sold itching powder and rubber chickens.
