THAMESDOWN Transport operate a bus number 177 used by students in Cricklade, Purton and West Swindon, travelling to and from New College.
I am a regular passenger on this bus; therefore notice that the vehicle allocated has an overall advertisement that covers the windows as well as the rest of the vehicle.
As one can well imagine, visibility is reduced due to the ridiculous way in which the bus has been painted. The B&Q bus, as I like to call it (as the advertisement is for Swindon's B&Q store), is very seldom, if not never allocated to any other route, which is unfair on the students, having to put up with an unpleasant journey to and from college everyday.
The bus company seem to have the attitude: they're only students, they don't deserve anything better.' Now that the evenings are darker it is becoming an even greater inconvenience, with visibility reduced further.
The bus allocated to the route ought to be varied like they are on other services as there are plenty more buses in Thamesdown's fleet which could be used instead.
Would it not make more sense to use the B&Q bus on route 29, which actually goes to B&Q?
Can someone please tell me I'm not the only one who finds the B&Q bus a nuisance.
R BEINT.
Toothill.
