A SIX-year-old little girl has not played with her dolls lately. Instead Chantelle Hill from Darlington has been raising money for her sick father who has lung cancer.
The money is for the drug Tarceva. This drug is obtainable in Europe and Scotland, but for the English the National Institute for Clinical Excellence states it is not cost effective so it is not available on the NHS.
What type of Government have we when a little girl has to plead for donations to help her daddy live?
This question is not rhetorical. It is addressed to Andrew Dillon, Chief Executive of NICE, and the Health Minister Alan Johnson.
