I AM extremely disappointed that the former Labour councillor Derek Bye has tried to make a cheap personal attack out of what is a very serious issue (SA, November 1).
Derek has completely missed the point. Nobody has questioned the high-quality service offered by the Abbey Meads medical centre; I have friends and family who are very satisfied users.
However, a number of local residents have contacted me with the genuine concerns of having to use a premium rate telephone service to book an appointment.
As their elected councillor it is right and proper for me to highlight this issue.
