I REFER to D Seal's letter about the refurbished Park Library (November 24) which you quite inappropriately headed "Tough Times for elderly readers". He/she made a valid point about the large print books at ground level, but this was corrected a fortnight ago. Has the writer been into the library lately? The bottom shelf is no longer at ground level.

In a new building there are often little complaints like that, which will be listened to and corrected by a very helpful and friendly staff.

What on earth does D Seal consider a proper library? The new Park Library is bright, welcoming, with more space, more books (including large print ones), a lovely children's area, and computers for those who want to use them. It has been beautifully arranged and is modern, functional and attractive. Some people don't like change of any kind!
