IN reply to the latest tirade from Mr Day, perhaps he will answer the following; when was the last time a Labour run government left office, leaving the country debt free? Not in our lifetime is the answer.

Is this the same party that has broken promises to so many people like referendums, university fees etc? Over the last few years, every time a Cabinet minister is asked about problems, they will answer by saying we have put billions into this and that, never telling you how it has been spent. Look at projects like the Dome, the Scottish Parliament building, Portsmouth dockyard building, all over budget by at least £400m.

The current project for the NHS IT scheme is years behind date and so many billions overspent its a disgrace. Prudence is like a drunken man up against the wall at night, just throwing money away on anything that catches his eye, and what do we have for his ills, not much, the cupboard is bare and no reserve to prevent the current debt crisis.

We are told it’s not our fault, but that it lies in the hands of the Americans, well, what about Northern Rock, Barclays, RBS, etc, who was minding their store, who put the FSA into effect, and not a solid tooth in the house? Who cancelled the regulation of certain aspects of the banks which has led to their downfall?

We now have the scandal of the 18.5 per cent VAT rise or not, you’ll have to wait until the next General Election, (surprise, surprise) to find out who was right.

We learned at the weekend that a certain close associate of Prudence, a certain Michael Wills, has drawn up plans to humiliate and marginalise the Royal Family, in that they will be forced to send their children to State schools to show such schools work and other Royal events like the coronation will be made multi-culti pantos.

I wonder if Mr Wills sends his children to Headlands School (Swindon Academy). the money spent on quangos in 1997 was around the £27 billion mark, and Prudence told the House of Commons that when in office he would ensure that it was cancelled and the money spent on better projects, today, Prudence is spending in the order of £168 billion on quangos and no sign of any promised reduction in public sector workers that he promised.

You notice, also I have made no mention of the lies and more lies about the Iraq war? Yes, Mr Day, there is nasty and there is ‘New Labour’, you vote for who you like. Mr Darling is not going on holiday in the near future and if so, has he made his trip known to the IMF?
