REF Chris Gleed’s letter, I agree with all he says, we OAPs a small group of us do not attend the gathering at the Town Hall we prefer to stand outside our police station, quietly, pay homage when the cortege passes, we are noticed, the police outriders nod, and so does the undertaker.
We do not want placards, scrolls etc, just let us pay respect to the lads and lasses in our own way.
If anyone wants to do something, keep the RAF base (Lyneham) open that way the whole of North Wiltshire would benefit.
