CONGRATULATIONS to T Reynolds on a brilliant letter (SA, Nov 4).

What he forgot to mention was that the Labour party were only elected in 1997 on a promise of sleaze free government, since when we have been in it up to our necks, just like we were under the Tories. The essential difference seems to be that Tory sleaze gave us expensive women, cheap hotels and squirming MPs while Labour sleaze cost the lives of our servicemen, brings us bankruptcy, costs our reputation abroad and has destroyed our history and independence.

The only solution is to support a party where sleaze is not tolerated for a second and MEPs have been booted out for bringing the Party into disrepute; no other political group takes such a step so readily with its ‘bad boys’. In UKIP you stay squeaky clean or are thrown out!
