NOVEMBER 15 is the World Day of Remembrance for road crash victims. People throughout the world will be remembering the many millions who lose their lives or are injured in road crashes. It is a tragic fact that in Britain, on average, 3,000 people lose their lives and another 300,000 are injured every year. RoadPeace is the national charity in Britain, dedicated to supporting people who are bereaved or injured as the result of such an incident. Many of its members will be organising services of remembrance in cathedrals and places of worship across the country.

The South West group of RoadPeace will be holding the annual service in Bath. This year it will be at 4.30pm on November 15 in Christchurch, Julian Road, Bath. It is hoped that representatives from the council and other groups who play a part in dealing with the aftermath of these tragedies will be present. There will be special prayers, readings and music and names of loved ones who have been lost will be read out. It you have been affected by a road crash you are invited to attend but, if this is not possible but you would like a name included on the list, please send it with the age and date of the incident to the address below or phone 01225 461545.
