THE Oxford English Dictionary defines a democracy as “Form of government in which sovereign power resides with the people” while a dictatorship is “State with absolute authority in any sphere”.
The power in Europe now rests with the EU Commission. What does that say about a democratic Europe, as its supporters so often tell us it is?
