NOT being an expert on military history, I maybe corrected!

But I don’t think that we British have really been at peace for hundreds of years.

It seems that we as a nation glorify war and conflict.

Are we a pugilistic nation? Even from the Boer War, World War One and World War Two, Falklands, Northern Ireland, Suez, Iraq and now Afghanistan, the Cod War, Cold War etc our brave service men, and women are engaged on or in some conflict or other in some part of the world - Korea, Vietnam not to mention Trafalgar, Crimean, the Opium wars or War of the Roses!
