I READ the story (SA, Tuesday, May 25) of how Swindon Council is to cut the funding for the Dial-a-Ride, what a disgrace.
I went into town this morning, I saw our “beautiful” water feature, what a utter waste of money. It’s ugly and all there was, were two trickles of water, not cascading like a water feature should be.
Then to top it all to find out we won’t be able to see the world cup on the big screen. What is it there for? What happens in 2012, are we not going to see any of the Olympics on the screen? I thought the big screen would have been a good way to bring the town together, but at the moment all it is, is a screen on the side of a multi-storey car park.
