I AM writing to offer your readers the chance of a lifetime in visiting one of the wonders of the world as part of a fundraising expedition for World Cancer Research Fund.
The charity - which funds cancer prevention research and education - is offering places on three trips in 2011 to see the ruins of Machu Picchu, high in the Peruvian Andes.
Trekkers only need a £475 registration fee to reserve a place and then raise a set amount of sponsorship before embarking on a 10-day journey to this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The 10-day hike will take participants off the beaten track to witness rural life amid the spectacular scenery of the Andes. Three trips are being organised in May, September and October.
