IN BRIEF and belated reply to Andrew Day’s recent letter ‘Get facts right over wind power’.
During the recent cold spell, the coldest December since records began in 1910, most of the 3,000 wind turbines around Britain remained idle, generating practically no electricity, forcing Scotland to rely on French nuclear plants.
With respect to Andrew Day, if he is unaware that low energy bills in France are due to nuclear power being the primary source of electricity, I have no further interest in participating in this argument.
