My wife and I attended the Great Western Hospital recently for our final appointment with my cancer specialist and Macmillan nurses before being transferred to the care of Prospect Hospice.

There were no spaces for disabled people and eventually, in desperation, we parked in a taxi space. By this time my wife was stressed on what was a particularly stressful day anyway.

We would like to slate Carillion for the shambles that is the parking system at the GWH.

Why on earth can’t they build a multi storey car park to match the hospital (our consultant’s take on it)? How hard could that be?

These wonderful doctors, nurses and staff are saving and improving people’s lives every day and they don’t even warrant a parking space.

Shame on you Carillion.
