After another disappointing week at the County Ground there seems to be only one question on everyone’s mind, How can we go from a playoff final at Wembley in May to sitting in 20th place in the League One table in January?

I’m sure we all have are own theories on that buts lets start by looking back at the Rovers game from Saturday, and I think it was a new low for this season and this team.

All over the pitch we didn’t look up for the fight for a derby match and we just caved in and let them take the 3 points especially with are Kamikaze defending for their second goal.

Tuesday night was again a tale of to different halves, everybody who talks about are season has said how inconsistent we are and if we will get out of this mess a good performance for 90 minutes is a must sooner rather than later.

I know people have a lot of different views on Tuesdays game but personally I think it was a disappointing performance all round, I can understand fans who say we kept a clean sheet and did come close a couple of times so it wasn’t to bad but I think we should be beating teams like Tranmere at home every season and taking are chances when they come, so I think it was more 2 points dropped than 1 gained.

As you read this Charlie Austin might be playing for a different team at the weekend and I think it’s all down to Danny Wilson if that works in are favour or sends us down to League Two.

Hopefully we should receive in the region of £2 million for are star player now most of that money should go back into the squad and two strikers are just what we need to save are season, if Danny Wilson buys badly that could mean the end of his time at Swindon and the clubs end in League One for at least a season which I never thought I’d write at the beginning of this campaign.

On the plus side this week we saw some good performances from Andy Frampton and Michael Timlin on Tuesday night, After listening to Andy Frampton after the game he comes across as just the sort of player we need at the back, a sensible and experienced head for the second half of the season so lets all hope he stays injury free from now on.

This Saturday we take on Exeter at the County Ground in another huge home game for the club, after taking a point on Tuesday we need to make sure we build on that with a win to continue are rise up the league and get some much needed confidence back at the club for the first team and for the fans.
