RE: Egyptian Canal Zone reunion Saturday, May 14 2011 to Friday, May 27 2011.

Since my retirement I have organised reunion visits to the Canal Zone area In Egypt.

I was called up for National Service in 1954 and was posted to Egypt working in Ghq Fayid Canal Zone and then moved on to Cyprus.

As a hobby I organise return visits to the Fayid/Ismailia area every year. In May 2011 we will be travelling to the Canal Zone taking in Cairo, Moascar, Ismailia, Tel-El-Kebir staying at a hotel on the Great Bitter Lakes, Fayid and visiting the area of Lake Timsa .

These visits are limited to 30 places (10 doubles and 10 singles). We cannot cater for children but spouses and relatives are welcome.

The ages range from 40 to 80+. During the 13 night stay there is a chance to visit the Pyramids, Sphynx and Egyptian Museum to see the treasures of the boy king Tutankhamun We arranged our last group for May 2010 and had to turn people away due to the group quickly filling up so it was decided to arrange this final additional overflow group for May 2011.

I know that there were many people in your circulation area that was posted to Egypt during the troubles of the 1950s and I would appreciate it if you would be so kind as to publish this offer of a reunion return to the Canal Zone, Egypt. Also if any of your readers would like a photograph of a loved one’s grave from any of the cemeteries we visit could they please send me details or email me at Alfavison@Talktalk.net.

Spaces are limited to 30 places: 10 doubles and 10 singles.
