ATTEWELL Bernard John Bernard died peacefully on Friday 11th June at the Great Western Hospital, Swindon, three weeks short of his 93rd birthday. Predeceased by his wife Betty, Bernard was a beloved brother, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather; he will be much missed by all who knew him. Prior to a short illness, Bernard had been 'fighting fit', an able gardener and cook who enjoyed wood turning, reading, entertaining family and meeting his many friends. The funeral takes place at 11am on Friday 23rd July at Upper Stratton Baptist Church, Green Road, Swindon SN2 7JA followed by committal at Kingsdown Crematorium. Donations in memory can be made to British Heart Foundation c/o Co-operative Funeralcare 439 Cricklade Road, Swindon SN2 1AQ.
