A CANADIAN band will be rocking up to Level 3.

Heavy metal band Anvil are set to appear at the live music venue on March 17.

Formed in 1978 in Toronto, Anvil have released 17 studio albums and are said to have influenced heavy metal groups including Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax and Metallica.

The three-piece band will only be spending three weeks in the UK as part of their tour.

It includes a stop in Swindon at the venue on Commercial Road.

Steve Kudlow, known as Lips, is on vocals and guitar, Robb Reiner on drums, and Chris Robertson is on bass.

They will be supported by Electus, who are also a hard rock band.

They have released three singles – The Dark, Just for One Night and Rider.

The night will be kicking off at 7.30pm and copntinues until 11pm.

But tickets are selling fast and the venue can only take 400 people.
