COMEDIAN Freddie Starr has pulled out of a performance at the Wyvern Theatre this week.
The decision, which was taken by the star, his management team and the theatre, comes just days after Starr was arrested in Warwickshire by Operation Yewtree officers investigating sexual abuse allegations against Jimmy Savile.
Theatre director Derek Aldridge said: "Freddie apologises to the hundreds of loyal fans who had purchased tickets, but hopes they understand that he is concentrating on defending the allegations made against him."
The theatre will be contacting patrons who purchased tickets to give them a refund.
