TV ANTIQUES experts Charles Hanson and Charlie Ross visited traders at a specialist emporium in Lechlade’s High street to film a show for BBC2.

The pair went to Lechlade Antiques Arcade to pick up some items to go under the hammer as part of The Antiques Road Trip, which is expected to air in spring.

The current series is on Monday to Friday at 5.15pm.

The BBC2 show sees different experts each week travel the country in an old car and with a fixed starting budget, searching for items to auction in a bid to generate the most cash by the end of the week.

In Lechlade, they picked up a number of items, including a few pieces of silver, a candle snuffer and a map of Winchester, to sell later in the Hampshire town.

Sarah Moloney, who co-runs a unit in the arcade with boyfriend Pete Ockwell, said: “It was brilliant to be asked to go on there.

“Our shop is well known in Lechlade and surrounding areas but to actually get on TV will help more people to know about it .

“They were very nice people.”
