THE Olympic Games and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee have put the Great back into Britain this year, and this week around 250 talented youngsters will create The Best Of British.
Patriotic fever is sweeping through Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre as dancers from Tanwood School of Dance and Performing Arts create their annual show, filled with songs about Glastonbury, Wimbledon, British TV, films and musicals, such as Billy Elliott and Matilda.
The performers, aged from two to 72, are guided by Tanwood director Pollyann Tanner.
Special guests include Tap Attacker from TV’s Got To Dance, Danzone and actors from the Empire Theatre Company.
Best Of British runs on November 9 and 10 at 7.30pm, and tickets are £10 on 01793 524481.
