MULTI-TALENTED Jenny Eclair brings her new stand-up show to the Wyvern Theatre on Wednesday.

The 52-year-old comedian, novelist and TV presenter calls the show ‘Eclairious’, and scheduled dates take her to locations as diverse as Harpenden and Barnsley.

She said in a recent blog post: “I’m hugely enjoying ‘Eclairious’ now, the wheels of the show feel oiled and she’s great fun to drive.”

Recently Jenny has perhaps been best known as a panellist on Loose Women, which she left earlier this year.

She also took part in I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2010, losing out only to winner Stacey Solomon and runner-up Shaun Ryder.

Jenny, the daughter of a British Army officer, was born in what is now Malaysia.

After the family returned to Britain, she began her showbusiness career as a theatre student, honing her performance skills and making her first TV appearances.

At 34 she became the first female solo act to win a Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival.

As well as Loose Women and her stint in the jungle, her television credits include Grumpy Old Women, The Bill and Skins.

Her written work includes the novels Camberwell Beauty, Having a Lovely Time and Life, Death and Vanilla Slices, as well as several non-fiction books.

Jenny’s Wyvern date starts at 8pm, with tickets costing £18.50.

The show is part of the Wyvern’s Hellfire Curry Club offer, meaning people who are a bit peckish before the show can have an Indian buffet and a Cobra beer for an extra £10.

The venue can be contacted on 01793 524481 and via www.wyverntheatre.org.uk.
