SWEET treats are being served up in Old Town after a store specialising in cupcakes opened its doors yesterday.

GlamoRose Cakes started serving customers at its new home in 18 High Street, between the Co-Op and Barclays, yesterday morning.

It is being run by 23-year-old Jessie Dennis, who lives in Old Town, and who already has a spot at the Newbury Weekly Market.

“GlamoRose Cakes prides itself in producing unique, stylish cakes, to suit anyone in need of a little treat, or a big celebration,” she said.

“Simple flavours, mouth-watering taste, and beautiful decorations, make each and every cupcake delicious on the inside and the outside. Each one is carefully baked, delicately iced, and creatively decorated.

“The best thing about this job, is seeing the smile on a customer’s face when they open the box.”

Jessie has been running GlamoRose Cakes for about a year. She also bakes celebration cakes, makes gift boxes and runs cupcake decorating parties.

Jessie is offering cupcakes for £1 this week to celebrate the opening of the store.
