WILTSHIRE Police is appealing for information following a spate of distraction thefts.
Between Thursday and Friday, there were five reported incidents of distraction thefts in Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett.
The incidents are all of a similar nature and involve two females entering Post Offices and other local businesses asking for £20 notes to be changed into £10 notes.
After some confusion and distraction of the staff, the women then ask for the original £20 notes back and leave with these and the £10 notes already given to them.
It is believed that there are three women involved, and possibly a fourth person driving a dark Vauxhall Vectra type car.
The suspects are described as being of Eastern European origin, possibly a mother and daughter, and both have several gold teeth that are on show when they speak.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
