SWINDON: An obstruction on the rail line between Swindon and Didcot Parkway caused all Swindon bound services between the two stations to be cancelled yesterday afternoon.
The 4pm service heading to Plymouth between the two stations struck a metal fence on the line, blocking the route for subsequent services. The affected carriage was swapped at Swindon station and the fence removed from the line before normal service resumed.
