Could I please through the letters page say a massive thank you to the staff of the Great Western Hospital and the people of South Marston village?
I went into hospital last Thursday for a knee operation and unfortunately ended up spending the night in intensive care after complications resulted in me having fluid on my lungs.
The care and professionalism of every staff member who treated me during a very scary 36 hours was outstanding and they also helped ease my fears as well by explaining everything in a way that made what was happening a lot less frightening than what it could have been.
I work for Royal Mail and for the last 12 years have delivered the mail to South Marston village.
The support of the people in the village has shown me during the last four months I’ve been off work waiting for my operation, something that I will never forget and I am so appreciative of, as so many people have gone out of their way to get in contact with me.
I would just like to say thank you to both the staff at the hospital and the people of South Marston, especially Mrs Robina Taylor, for everything they’ve done for me.
