SHOPPERS can now buy their home furnishings at a new shop after HomeSense opened its first Swindon store – bringing more than 40 new jobs to the town.
The Mayor of Swindon, Teresa Page, opened the store, at the Greenbridge Retail Park, yesterday before hosting a tea party outside the venue. There was also a vintage-style gaming area with hoopla, ball in the bucket and buzz wire on offer at the dedicated stalls.
The new shop, which provides more than 15,341sq ft of branded homeware.
A spokesman for HomeSense said: “We are delighted to be opening our first store in Swindon, which will be our 31st in the UK.
“Our other stores have rapidly developed a loyal following amongst savvy shoppers who enjoy seeking out interesting finds for their homes, so we’re really excited to be bringing our unique homeware concept to the area.”
The new store will hold up to 50,000 different items for the home from functional kitchenware and one-off decorative pieces, to soft furnishings and garden accessories.
Daily deliveries bring 10,000 new items of stock each week so customers will always discover something different every time they visit.
