SWINDON'S roadworks are a real talking point at the moment with the announcement that Stratton Green Bridge will re-open on Saturday morning, a month after it closed to allow rail electrification work.
On Friday, Swindon Council imposed an embargo on 51 roads across the town to prevent any planned highways or utilities work from being carried out until January 5.
But if your journeys take in any of these places then you should allow extra time for your journey.
OAKHURST: Roadworks in Giotto Close are expected to add to the pressures caused by work on Tadpole Farm.
The works, which are being carried out by Thames Water, are expected to remain in place until December 18.
GORSE HILL: Work by Wales and West Utilities in Cricklade Road is set to continue until today.
Traffic lights are in operation and commuters are warned to give themselves enough time as delays are likely.
OLD TOWN: Traffic controls will continue to be in place on Croft Road until Wednesday while Wales and West Utilities carry out advanced planning work.
Commuters are warned to give themselves plenty of time as delays are expected.
OLD TOWN: Wales and West Utilities’ work in Okus Road will continue to cause delays until Friday.
Work is currently underway by the utilities company and commuters are again being warned to allow extra time.
