FAIRLY-traded goods were on the menu at a meeting to herald ethical products.
The Community Afternoon Tea group, which gathers at the Savernake Street Social Hall every second Friday between 2pm and 4pm, was given a tasty insight into the work of the Fairtrade organisation.
A representative of the Midcounties Co-operative group was on hand to explain the ethical brand’s work with producers around the globe, as well as bringing in products for group members and visitors to sample.
The meetings are organised by the Eastcott Community Organisation, the group of volunteers that manage the community centre.
“It is an opportunity for people to meet others living locally, over tea and coffee served on vintage tableware,” said a group spokesman.
