BIRMINGHAM’s The Blue Orange Theatre will bring Jane Eyre to life in a new adaptation of Charlotte Bronte’s timeless novel this month.

The independent theatre troupe will reinvent the story which has enthralled generations for the stage at the Wyvern.

Jane Eyre follows a young woman’s courageous fight through injustice and hardship. An orphan, Jane takes up a position as governess at Thornfield. She finds herself falling in love with her employer, the dark impassioned Rochester.

He eventually proposes to her but the complexities of his past ensure that Jane’s struggles are far from over.

Jane Eyre will run for one night only on Sunday, March 15 at Swindon Arts Centre on Devizes Road at 7.30pm. Tickets are £13 or £11 with concession.
