With Kardien Gerbrands
WELL, dear friends, the spring has arrived and last Sunday’s pleasant weather certainly made the smile return to the faces of the stallholders stuck out in the North Car Park at the Designer Outlet.
This should be the last week when the market is located out there and after our week’s break for Easter Sunday we will be back on our old spot in Train Street outside the centre’s main entrance on April 12.
This week sees the return of Kelsmor Dairy, with their ice cream van and stupendous Guernsey gold top milk.
Apparently, there is a myth about the fats in milk; removing the fats also removes the enzymes that help our bodies digest the fats, so semi skimmed or skimmed milk is likely to cause an accumulation of fats in the body because those fats left in aren’t easily digested.
Whole is always best in my book and a healthy diet is one made up of natural products; plus the pleasure in the taste of their whole top milk is fabulous.
Elsewhere Neustift Goat Dairy, Leighfield Lodge meats and Green’s cheeses return to join all the regular traders, including Glamorose Cakes, Pippin Doughnuts, Paget’s Veg, Hinton Marsh Farm meats, Lovett Pies, Newtown wines and street food favourite, Niang’s Thai snacks.
