Wiltshire Police are renewing an appeal for witnesses over the serious assault in Swindon outside MECA in January and have issued CCTV pictures of people they want to speak to.
A 31-year-old man from Brecon, Wales, was stood outside MECA (Music Entertainment Cutural Arena) in Regent Circus just after 5am on Friday, January 23, when he became involved in an altercation with a group of men and women.
The man was assaulted and suffered serious head injuries, being taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
In addition to this, a 21-year-old woman from the Swindon area was also assaulted and had her mobile phone broken.
CCTV images of several people in the area at the time have now been released and police would like to speak with them in connection with this incident.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone that can help identify the individuals shown in the CCTV pictures.
