SHOPPERS in Highworth can expect to find a new addition at their Midcounties Co-operative Food after the opening of a new Coffee Republic café at the store.

The partnership between The Midcounties Co-operative Food and the coffee chain will see a number of cafés opening at the society’s larger supermarkets, with the store on Brewery Street being the second to open.

As part of the partnership, Coffee Republic is launching its first Fairtrade coffee which will be available for customers to try in the Highworth store. The blend has been developed in-line with The Midcounties Co-operative’s commitment to providing a better deal for producers in the developing world.

The Coffee Republic café will provide freshly baked products to complement its range of drinks and will give customers the opportunity to meet friends and family in a convenient location, while being able to browse the wide range of products available from the Food store.

Andrew Fawlk, store manager at The Midcounties Co-operative Food in Highworth, said: “It’s great to open a new café in store and welcome local residents to enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed environment.

“Coffee Republic is a company which shares our values of providing quality service to customers and provide a sustainable future. We’re proud to be able to host its first Fairtrade coffee in celebration of our partnership.”
