THE owner of Oops-A-Daisy Childcare in Kembrey Park has made the decision to close its doors.
Earlier reports that Ofsted had closed the nursery have been dismissed by the education watchdog.
In a September 2015 Ofsted report the provider was registered as being Deborah Baigent.
An Ofsted spokesman said: “This provider told us she wanted to resign her Ofsted registration with immediate effect.”
"To be clear, it was the provider's decision to close Oops-a-Daisy childcare."
An Oops-A-Daisy employee confirmed the organisation had been closed by this afternoon.
She said: "Yes it's true, we're done. We're closed."
Swindon Borough Council have asked parents of children affected by the closure to email them at earlyyearsfunding@swindon.gov.uk
A spokesman said:
“We will be going there tomorrow to see any parents of children who did attend Oops-A-Daisy and talk to them regarding education options for the future.”
