POLICE have urged drivers not to drive tired after a car smashed into the central reservation of the M4.
The incident happened shortly before 2am between junction 17 (Chippenham) and junction 16 (Swindon West) on the M4 eastbound this morning.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: "Drivers, please take care when driving and always make sure you take a break if you are tired.
"The driver of a Jaguar had crashed into the central reservation causing extensive damage to the vehicle and barrier.
"Fortunately no one was seriously injured, however, it highlights the dangers of driving when tired."
