POLICE were called to the Sun Inn at Coate early last Saturday evening after a mobility chair-using man in his 20s tipped over after apparently having too much to drink.
A police spokesman said: “There was a concern he might try and ride home and possibly injure himself. We took him home so he was safe with his mother.”
A spokesman for Akells has asked us to point out they did not call the police.
They said: "The gentleman was not drinking at the pub that evening and the pub did not call the police, because he was not known to them.”
