FOURTEEN young actors are enjoying a taste of the big time after being picked to take part in a children's programme.
The youngsters from Swindon Young Actors are currently appearing on children's channel Nickelodeon after one of the show's talent spotters noticed their talent at a workshop in Commonweal School.
The children, aged between nine and 13, are appearing on Nikheads, which is airing every day between 4pm and 6pm.
Swindon Youth Actors' Janice Sherlock said the children were selected after impressing in a workshop run by the group's director Mark Flitton.
She said: "Nickelodeon approached me because they have used our children before. It was a shame they could only pick 14 as we have so many talented youngsters. Half of the group filmed up in Barnet and the other half filmed in Crystal Palace.
"It was a great experience for them and I think they all enjoyed themselves."
Swindon Young Actors run workshops at Commonweal and at St Luke's church hall, Broad Street. The group has about 90 members ranging in age from six right up to 18.
