POLICE dogs from Wiltshire joined forces with canine colleagues from around the UK to film a video for a song that will raise money for a young boy fighting a rare bone cancer.
Tyke and Jim, their handler PC Cindy Hargreave, along with PC Claire Todd with Quest and Stella the Staffy from Gloucestershire and PC Rich Martin with PD Emmylou from Avon and Somerset, went to Warwickshire on Sunday where dozens of police officers, firefighters and paramedics had gathered to help Alex Goodwin, nine.
The youngster’s family are desperately trying to raise the £120,000 needed to ensure he has the best treatment for Ewing Sarcoma.
Doctors recently broke the news that the cancer had spread, which meant only limited treatment was available on the NHS.
Alex, a Warwickshire policeman’s son, has recorded a song called Horizon on My Mind, due for release on December 5 and hopes it will make it to number one in time for Christmas.
The single can be pre-ordered on Amazon.
